India is one of the youngest nations in the world with more than half of the total population constitutes young people. In the past few years, the Indian Government has launched various campaigns to accelerate employment and entrepreneurship like “Skill India”, “Make in India”, “Start-up India” etc. Through several consultations, the country is trying hard to explore and understand various approaches being adopted, which drive employability, entrepreneurship and empowerment for India’s economic growth. The four main pillars which propel employability, entrepreneurship and empowerment are Capacities, Technologies, and Financial Systems and Market Linkages. Eminent thought leaders, practitioners, government representatives, civil society organizations, international agencies and corporate housesare all involved now to identify win-win solutions for taking India to the next level. The activities shall revolve around the belief that employment and entrepreneurship opportunities of the future shall place significantly greater emphasis on creation of wealth from waste, either it is talent, energy or resources. The overall thrust of the programs shall remainon facilitating growth of youth in communities, either through employability or entrepreneurship to empower them for a better future.
